What is Meditation

A recent survey of over two thousand scientific studies documents an enormous range of benefits from meditation.
These include physiological changes of state (such as metabolism, respiration and alleviation of pain); positive psychological and behavioral effects; and enhanced subjective experiences.
Meditates even have a significantly more youthful physiology than non-meditates, as measured by the classic biomarkers of aging.

The science is unambiguous: Meditation works.

Meditation is scientifically proven to:

Meditation is one of a range of techniques which can evoke the Relaxation Response.  Modern living conditions and lifestyles tend to create in people ongoing levels of stress that have been shown to be associated with lowered levels of immune response and a weakening of the body's natural defensive and self-healing capacities.  The Relaxation Response is a process which helps reduce pressures on the systems of the body allowing them to rejuvenate and to function more efficiently.

Meditation and Relaxation

A guided creative visualisation meditation.  The session caters for those new to meditation, as well as those who may have been attending for years or who have previous meditation skills and experience, therefore participants may join at any time.
The one hour session follows a fairly constant format which allows all participants to feel comfortable and relaxed.  A simple, familiar format also allows for practicing at home if desired, using the skills outlined at each session.  The session is conducted in safe and caring surroundings.  At all times the confidentiality and privacy of Clients is respected.

Brief Outline of Aims and Goals of this session:
*  To introduce the meditative process in a loving and positive light.
      *  To promote understanding that meditation can be a powerful tool to reduce stress levels and
          promote relaxation.
*  To provide a simple meditation tool which can be continued at home.

Mindfulness Meditation

Understanding Meditation of Mindfulness, Sound and Labyrinths.
Learn how to ‘stop and rest' in Meditation.
Practice Mindfulness of Walking.
Experience the ancient Labyrinth.
Feel the Resonance of the crystal singing bowls in a vibrational sound meditation.
Both meditation groups are gold coin donation only.
