Helping out in a Bloomhill Op Shop can be such a rewarding and happy experience. Your day is filled with meeting the most interesting people and everything you sell is helping Bloomhill to care for local people facing life threatening illness.

Respite Buddies are responsible for providing support in the form of care and companionship, as well as practical assistance in the form of transport and or basic house-keeping duties, to members of the community facing cancer and other life challenging illness, to their families and friends.
You will be trained to provide support for people facing up to a life threatening illness. Palliative Care trained volunteers are at least 18 years of age, have not experienced a major personal bereavement within the past 12 months and can make a commitment of a minimum of four hours per week for at least 12 months.
Our housekeepers give their time at the Bloomhill Centre on Ballinger Road to ensure we offer a welcoming and enjoyable place to visit. From washing to keeping the kitchen tidy, the Centre has a multitude of tasks to keep you interested and fulfilled.
Our 4 hectares is lovingly maintained by our dedicated gardeners. If you love being in the great outdoors, then volunteering in the amazing gardens of Bloomhill would be a dream come true.

Our Maintenance Team are always on the look-out for people like you!
If you have an administration background that includes phone, reception duties and customer service, we have positions available at the Centre.
You will need to commit to a full day every fortnight (8:30am – 4:30pm) on a revolving 2 week roster.
After a successful interview, you will be given on-the-job training followed by fill in shifts that may lead to an ongoing volunteer roster position.
Volunteer drivers are required to drive clients to and from medical appointments.
Bloomhill hosts many fundraisers during the year, fundraising volunteers are always welcome to participate with these events.
Bloomhill has the permit for the management of Cotton Tree Markets. We are looking for Volunteers for Sunday Mornings to help out with various positions – selling raffle tickets etc. If you are interested in helping please contact Alex or Val on 5445 5794
