The new Alliance for Suicide Prevention - Sunshine Coast's iHelp digital tool can be used to seek support for yourself or on behalf of someone else, to provide personalised mental health support recommendations based on chosen demographics and location. It is available as a web-based platform and as a downloadable app via the Apple Store and Google Play.

The digital tool uses the Community Information Exchange to source information about the organisations that offer professional and community-based mental health and suicide prevention support in our region. The Alliance aims to feature up-to-date and accurate information to help people find services when they need them most.

Bloomhill is among those organisations listed with support services available to through the app - such as counselling and psychology for clients, carers and family members who may be struggling with aspects of a cancer diagnosis and its repercussions.

A recent "Call to Arms" networking event hosted by the Alliance aimed at bringing together people from organisations committed to suicide prevention and celebrate the launch of iHelp. This included valued members such as Bloomhill and community members who have dedicated time to suicide-alertness training.

Members of a Q & A panel at the event included the CEO of Jetts Fitness Australia Elise Jobson, Founder of Grab Life by the Balls Sam Parker and founder of Zak's Community Nathan Taylor.

Bloomhill staff members Trish Wilson (Clinical Services Manager) and Nikki Firmin from the Advancement Team attended the launch. We look forward to supporting this initiative as part of our commitment to achieving improved health outcomes within our community.
