Buderim is legendary in running a parade well and Australia Day is no exception.

January 26th broke to blue skies as community services, committees, groups, schools, businesses and bands took their place in this well-synchronised display of pride for our national day.

As an integral part of our community, Bloomhill Cancer Care joined the many participants in what is a highlight of the Buderim calendar.

Our volunteers waved to bystanders as they followed the escorts - two of our transport vehicles as well as Maaike Mills and Sue Goodman proudly displaying the Bloomhill banner. Amanda Hamilton took up front and centre position while filming the parade from the action.

Bloomhill has joined the celebrations in highlighting our contribution to the Sunshine Coast and beyond for many years.

Relying heavily on the generosity of volunteers, Bloomhill continues supporting people and their families during challenging times. The range of services Bloomhill offers is as diverse as those we open our door and hearts to. Apart from the management of the Cotton Tree Markets, our volunteers are appreciated within sectors of fundraising, concierge, administration, through our Op shops, maintaining the Bloomhill grounds and transport assistance

Bloomhill’s client transport service is exceptional and relied upon for many in need. The personalised driver service assists clients to access medical and hospital appointments, both locally and in Brisbane. This much needed service supports one of Bloomhill’s strategic aims in assisting clients to increase treatment compliance.

Over the past financial year, 694 clients made use of the service and our drivers completed 890 trips. Our client transport vehicles drove more than 110,895km across the region. Many of these kilometres were either heavily subsidised or fully sponsored by Bloomhill.

Bloomhill is indebted for the support given through myIGA Card Program run by IGA Marketplace Wises Road, Garry Crick, Executive Director & Chairman of Autopact Pty Ltd, and Cricks Nambour for their contributions towards our transport service.
