With the change in season, Bloomhill’s 11 Op Shops across the Sunshine Coast are currently in need of good quality items to sell in store.

In particular we are currently looking for: Jewellery - Handbags - Shoes - Dresses - Scarves - Swimwear - Tops - Furniture - and Bric a Brac.

Of course, when you support our Op Shops by donating goods, or purchasing items in the stores, you are directly supporting your local cancer care charity to continue supporting people of all ages on the Sunshine Coast to live well with cancer.

Our Op Shops continue to play an vital role within the Sunshine Coast community by enabling those experiencing financial hardship to access quality goods of their own. And they provide an excellent vehicle for the conscientious consumer to Re-cycle and Re-use in order to help reduce the volume of good quality goods that go direct to landfill!

Three tips to consider when making a donation:

  1. If you wouldn't give it to a mate, then please don't donate! A huge amount of manpower and resource go into sorting worn, damaged, stained, broken goods donated to our shops. So keep this in mind when selecting items to donate.
  2. Consider quality over quantity. As a general rule, natural fibers keep best over time, so when you are going through your wardrobe look to see if they are made from cotton, linen, and leather - as opposed to fabrics such as polyester, nylon, or pleather which have a tendency to look cheap and worn over time.
  3. Jewellery is always in hot demand. If you have statement necklaces, vintage brooches, eclectic watches, and large rings that you no longer wear we would love to hear from you.

So with this in mind let’s get busy, start clearing out the closets, emptying the storage boxes and tidying up. You can drop all items at your closest Bloomhill Op Shop, or call our distribution centre on 5445 6858 Monday to Friday for collection of larger items.

Our op shops are located at: Beerwah, Brightwater, Buderim, Caloundra, Cooroy, Kunda Park, Maleny, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Nambour and Tewantin. For contact details and opening times click on the link below.
