Have you often thought that you just want the time to sit with a patient and listen to their story, so you can make a real difference?
If the answer is ‘yes’ you may want to read further. As a Bloomhill nurse, you will be looking after the most important people at our wellness centre – our clients.
Bloomhill is a centre of excellence in Integrative Cancer Care on the Sunshine Coast, supporting people of all ages to live well with cancer. Our nurse-led model represents a unique blueprint for holistic client care, supporting people to manage their prescribed medical cancer therapy and integrate a range of nursing, allied health and therapy services to provide a ‘whole of person’ approach to cancer care. We work closely with the Public and Private Sunshine Coast acute cancer care services, GPs, community nursing services and other health care professionals. We pride ourselves on providing care that exceeds expectations and all staff work in congruence with our Bloomhill values.
We are looking for two clinical nurses (CN) who have what it takes to make a difference in our client’s lives. The CN role provides case management to oncology clients at the time of diagnosis, through treatment, survivorship and when required, palliative care. Undertaking clinical assessment, needs identification, providing patient information, supported decision making, medication management support, survivorship and wellness planning for clients are key deliverables of this diverse role. The successful candidate should have recent oncology experience, an understanding of the range of needs of oncology patients and their families across the trajectory of illness and high-level communication skills. The nurses will be part of a supportive and collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
Because we promote and encourage our clients to live well, we are also very keen for our staff to consider their own well-being. All Bloomhill staff have access to the staff wellness program which includes free weekly Pilates and Yoga Classes, free access to the gym and consultations with our Exercise Physiologist to plan and monitor your fitness program and super cheap massages. Our monthly clinical supervision sessions ensure you have support to debrief about your work in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.
