News and events News Thank You for Being There for Bloomhill With gratitude in our hearts, we cannot say THANK YOU enough to the entire community for digging so deep during the month of June to support our first ever Giving Campaign month and the Bloomhill Giving Day. We are so thrilled to announce that your generosity helped us to raised just over one hundred thousand dollars!Funds were raised throughout June via direct donations, Bloomhill functions and some fantastic community fundraisers held across the Sunshine Coast. Your support of one or more of these initiatives helped raise much needed awareness of Bloomhill's need for funds to continue to support people living with cancer in our community. Gifts received in June came in all shapes and sizes, ranging from gold coin donations to a $30,000 cheque! Every gift, whether it was $10, $100, $1,000 or more - will make a real difference in the lives of people facing a cancer diagnosis, including their family and carers. Our fabulous donors included over 23 local schools, businesses and community groups and 76+ individuals who participated in our month long giving campaign. United as a community you have all demonstrated that together we can help people to live well with cancer on the Sunshine Coast. June 21 was a fun filled day with so much love and support received from the Sunshine Coast community as we visited so many beautiful local businesses and schools who got behind the day. We have received so many amazing messages of support as people heard about the day across the radio airways and our social media and fundraising pages. A huge thank you to Budget Direct, powered by Auto and General, who provided the $5,000 founding gift to kick start the campaign and for hosting a fundraiser on June 21. An equally big thank you to the team at Sunshine FM for spreading the word far and wide about our giving campaign. All funds raised through the Be There for Bloomhill Giving Campaign will go directly towards supporting people to live well with cancer on the Sunshine Coast. We look forward to bringing you stories in the coming year that showcase the broad reaching impacts of your support. Last but not least, we must also say a huge thank you to our extended Bloomhill family of staff, volunteers and community supporters. Especially local artist Daniel Romaine and Robyn Cook from Stories from the Red Couch who not only helped promote the day but joined us on our whirlwind tour of local businesses and schools on June 21. The spirit of giving felt from the entire Sunshine Coast community was truly heart warming - making this campaign a fun and vibrant experience for us all and we can't wait to did all again next year!
