PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The CN role provides supportive care and case management to oncology clients and their families from the time of diagnosis, through treatment and survivorship, and when required, palliative support. The nurses work closely with the allied health team and therapists to deliver holistic, integrative oncology care.
To provide a high level of professional and compassionate psychosocial and emotional support to clients, their families and carers, helping them to make informed decisions
To work with clients holistically, recognizing the mind, body and spirit connection and the impact of a cancer diagnosis on a person and their family.
To develop collaborative client care plans to identify needs and issues, and support wellness and quality of life
To work collaboratively with other health and community organisations to ensure the highest standards of care
ESSENTIAL ROLE CRITERIA:
The role is based at our Buderim Wellness Centre, a unique workplace environment, set on 10 acres of lush rainforest gardens. The successful candidate will be invited to negotiate their preferred working days. Our monthly clinical supervision sessions ensure you have support to debrief about your work in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.

The purpose of this role is to provide personalised psychological support to those touched by cancer. You will be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering holistic care to the most important people at our wellness centre – our clients.
This position is a consultancy role with full administration support to ensure efficient client referrals, appointment booking and payments, including Medicare processing. With our nurse-led model of care you will never feel on your own caring for complex families. We work as a collaborative team to ensure individualised care is provided in a nurturing and healing environment. Both experienced and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
