Receptionist -  Fixed Term Maternity Leave Cover

Bloomhill Cancer Care Ltd is a not for profit community organisation based at Buderim on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Bloomhill aims to enhance the quality of life for people living with and beyond cancer through practical, physical and emotional support and empowerment through education and awareness. Bloomhill supports evidence based practice in all its endeavours.

Bloomhill currently has a vacancy at our Wellness Centre for a suitably qualified Receptionist to cover Maternity Leave.  This position is for four (4) days per week (negotiable) in a part time capacity.  This role is integral to supporting Bloomhill clients and the successful applicant must embody Bloomhill’s values.

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years receptionist administration experience
  • High emotional intelligence with an ability to support and connect with clients.
  • Innate empathy with an ability to maintain a very high degree of patient confidentiality
  • Previous experience in working with a volunteer workforce base (desirable)
  • Practice Management Software for clinical services experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist role
  • Previous experience with medical rebate systems (Tyro/Hicaps)
  • Ability to multitask and support a variety of disciplines and departments
  • Well-developed people management skills
  • Excellent communication and written skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain a good relationship and rapport with customers, volunteers and professional personnel
    • High degree of professionalism and works well as part of a wider team
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Punctual and reliable
  • Strong computer literacy with a focus on data integrity (high attention to detail), excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.

The maternity leave contract will be for a period of 6 months commencing in Monday 14th October 2019 with a possibility of extension.
